- Scope 1 covers direct emissions, e.g., related to your company's vehicle fleet.
- Scope 2 covers indirect emissions, e.g., from electricity consumption in your building
- Scope 3 covers a variety of indirect emissions that occur along your entire value chain, e.g., raw materials, logistics, business travel, employee commuting and more
- APPLICATIO collects its data via the Climate-Partner cloud-based software tool. This tool automatically converts activity data into CO2 equivalents. This results in a report with initial recommendations.

Our commitment to date has included avoiding travel and offsetting CO2 emissions from international air travel (via atmosfair), use of the train domestically, climate neutrality of our website, company car with e-licence plates, (almost) paperless office.

The starting point for climate protection measures is usually the calculation of the CO2 balance (Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF)). It provides an overview of where CO2 emissions occur and how high they are. In the first step APPLICATIO records its detailed Co2 balance with the help of ClimatePartner's tools.
This provides APPLICATIO with a basis for setting targets to reduce these emissions. The way is the goal, because even the mere recording quickly reveals potential savings and processes are reconsidered, questioned and improved.

On 20 July APPLICATIO finally created its C02 footprint, thus ending the data collection. - which was already very informative - and sent the data for evaluation.
Evaluation and recommendations

On 21 July, the evaluation followed in the form of the report from ClimatePartner. Unfortunately, 9.94 t of CO2 still have to be compensated and were unavoidable in 2021.
Compensation is fixed

On 22 July APPLICATIO decides on the compensation project. The decision is in favour of "CO2 compensation + regional tree planting" (ClimatePartner)

Green Electricity
... a first step!
Even while the CO2 balance is being drawn up, APPLICATO is already converting its power supply completely to green electricity. From August 2022, the power supply to the offices and servers will not yet be climate-neutral, but more environmentally friendly and future-proof. A first small step on the way to climate neutrality.
Job-Bike
... reducing emissions!
From August 2022 APPLICATIO offers its employees the possibility to lease a job-bike. This way we support our team to reduce emissions on the way to work.
